Queensland Drought Disaster Relief Appeal

Drought comes creeping more slowly than floods or bushfires but is just as devastating for Queensland families.

More than half of Queensland is now drought-declared, with some shires without rain since 2013. As one of the worst droughts in history drags through its fifth year, thousands of families and small businesses face seemingly impossible conditions.

Your donation can help ease the pain of this disaster.

Although we can’t solve all the problems for families and individuals affected by drought, we can make an important difference.

People in our drought-affected regions often feel they are forgotten and facing their disaster alone. It's not just farmers but whole communities that are feeling the effects of the drought. Donations like yours reassure them, boost their morale and help give them the strength to carry on.

Hand Heart Pocket partners with community organisations in the regions to distribute funds to families and individuals where they are needed most.

Although donations are welcome from all members of the public, Hand Heart Pocket will provide an additional $2 donation for every dollar donated by our network of Masonic Lodges - therefore tripling our Lodges' donations to support drought-affected families and individuals.
