Aged care was the original purpose of Masonic charity work in Queensland over 100 years ago when the Freemasons bought land at Sandgate in Brisbane to create aged care homes. It has remained a strong focus of our State and local support.
Today, our fundraising helps support initiatives to make ageing more positive, fulfilling and dignified. It is also a major supporter of Aegium Foundation and Queensland Brain Institute research into dementia.
Locally, we support dozens of charities that help older residents be more independent and healthy.
We believe being older should be a positive time - or at least one that offers the best support for comfort, company and contentment.
